Mike Gorin is the son of Tom Gorin, one of the founding owners of Gorin Hopper McCoy. From an early age, Mike Gorin was immersed in the world of business thanks to his father, who believed in the importance of an education rooted in entrepreneurship. From sweeping warehouse floors to shadowing his father on sales calls, Mike learned the ropes of being an electrical manufacture sales agent from the ground up. Driven by a desire for new challenges and a deep commitment to the family legacy, Mike formally continued his education, earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in finance. Armed with real-world experience, Mike began his professional career in finance where he quickly climbed the ranks and gained invaluable insights into the nuances of operations, customer dynamics, international and domestic market trends.
In the early 2000’s Mike returned to the electrical industry, with a renewed focus on leveraging accumulated knowledge and a fresh set of skills. Back in a familiar landscape armed with new insights, Mike quickly excelled. In 2010, Mike was appointed Chairman of NEMRA, National Electrical Manufactures Representatives Association, validating his reputation nationally. These collative experiences along with the unwavering commitment to preserve and build upon the strong legacy serve as the bedrock upon which GCD Sales sits upon today.

Nate started his professional journey by earning his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University; shortly after that, he went on to earn an MBA from the University of Utah. Aside from Nate’s academic accomplishments, he holds a profound understanding of the ever-evolving electrical landscape. Nate humbly used every position from Truck Drive to Branch Manager, to being named Director of Sales of a Fortune 500 Company as opportunities to forges strategic partnerships that went beyond revenue growth. Nate easily navigates the intricate network of electrical manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and end users, to ultimately drive revenue and remain at the forefront of emerging trends.
Building on decades of experience and a proven sales record that spans over 30 years, Nate’s reputation for strategic thinking and relationship-building is well known within the industry. The GCD Sales Agency leadership team easily recognized Nate as, “the real deal”, per Mike Gorin. Nate became a part of the GCD family in mid-2002’s, where he remains a hands-on sales manager and active principal owner, pushing GCD Sales Agency towards a new era of achievement in the competitive world of electrical sales.

Jake Cockrell
Jake Cockrell is a 3rd generation Florida native and has spent the last 30 years building relationships within the electrical manufacturing industry. Putting himself through college, Jake simultaneously worked in multiple NEMRA territories. Leaving Indiana not only with a decorated bachelor’s degree in business but a ton of humility and real-world experience. During those early years, Jake realized the significance of building solid professional relationships and did so willingly throughout the Southeastern United States.
In 1993, Jake accepted a position with Phosco Electric Supply as a truck driver where he continued to demonstrate his work ethic and resilience despite the title. Jake quickly became a standout and was offered an outside sales position with a large representative firm that stretched over Florida and Alabama. Not long after, Mike Gorin and Jake joined forces to expand GCD Sales into Florida, where Jake remains today. Jake is quick to recognize Florida’s success is collective, noting, “we’ve been very fortunate to have great employees, customers, and manufacturers to work with.” Jake’s determination, work ethic, and commitment to doing the right thing for the factories and his employees makes him a natural leader. Naturally, as Jake’s professional life successfully grew, so did his personal life. Jake married his best friend, Ashley Cockrell, and together they share three wonderful children.
